Ambassador Saddles
The Ambassador Saddle is made of soft English leather based on a spring tree Designed in England
The Quick Form Gullet System (hot press) found in the Ambassador line enables the saddle width to be uniquely customised. Developed to satisfy the strict standards of the top international riders and trainers. A pocket made of an outer layer of latex, followed by a layer of felt, is designed into the saddles’ wool-flocked panels to ensure an even touch with the horse’s back.
To maximise contact with the horse and rider comfort, this elegant saddle has a narrow twist tree. In its hay day the most competitive rider used this saddle.
Saddles from the Ambassador range can have their saddle width customised because they are constructed using Quick Form saddle trees. That means the saddle has an adjustable rapid form gullet mechanism which when used in a heat press is altered. Kieffer Saddles also had this system years ago although they have now updated to a cold press system.
The medium/wide gullet that comes standard on all Ambassador saddles can be changed as necessary to fit your horse. The Saddlery Trading Company performed the gullet heat change system on your behalf at no additional cost for the Quick Form saddle trees; however, they no longer import these saddles so it is unlikely this service would continue.
The wool flock panels on the Ambassador saddles are created in a pocket made of an outer layer of latex, followed by a layer of felt, which ensures a consistent touch with the horse’s back and allows a saddler to top up the flocking for a saddle fit change to suit your horse.
Although these Ambassador saddles were popular, they are very hard to come by these days.
